This was definitely a photoshoot of our dreams - an exotic location, a gorgeous couple, and a beautiful experience overall.

In case Chris looks familiar, it's because he made history as the first U.S. men's singles luge medalist at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games, and currently the only non-European to do so. Or it's because he was on Dancing with the Stars in 2018, or possibly because he's simply a heartthrob. Regardless, we had the honour and pleasure of being the first photographers to shoot him and his girlfriend Mara, together. Mara is an extremely generous, kind-hearted, and beautifully successful destination wedding planner in Salt Lake City at her studio, Fuse.

Together, they are electric and overwhelmingly charismatic. They are the definition of a power couple, both inside and out, and we hope these photos capture their love for one another while simultaneously allowing their personalities to shine through.

Surface of the moon? Nope! This was our view on the way to the Salt Flats - absolutely breathtaking!

The destination that Chris chose was the Bonneville Salt Flats, and it was the perfect setting for the shoot. The opaque white of the Salt Flats was the perfect canvas to highlight them both, and the Rocky Mountains in the background added a quintessential touch of Utah and the feeling of home.

Chris & Mara had almost a tangible chemistry between each other, and their comfort with the camera was clear from the start. With minimal direction, they knew how to not only showcase their love for each other as a couple, but also be their best selves individually as well.

Here are just a few highlights:

This shoot was an absolute breeze. You can tell from the photos that they felt completely at ease and it shows. The entire shoot took about an hour and a half from start to finish and ended with the sun setting into the mountains.

Naturally we had to get one conclusive shot to sum up the evening.
